Restrict Access dialog

Use this dialog to activate password protection and create a password for the selected drawer.
To open this dialog, follow these steps.
  1. Highlight the appropriate drawer and choose
    File
    Drawer Properties
    .
  2. In the
    Drawer Properties
    dialog, select the
    Restrict Access
    button.

Fields & buttons

Master password
Enter the master password in this field. Your security configuration may be set so that only users who know the master password can assign drawer passwords and access other setup features.

This field will appear in the
Restrict Access
dialog only if the
Limit users of drawer passwords
checkbox is marked in the
Security
tab of the
System Configuration
dialog with standard security options enabled.
Deny access to drawer data unless password is known
Mark this checkbox to password protect the selected drawer. You need to enter a password for the drawer in both available fields. Clear this checkbox to deactivate password protection for this drawer.
Drawer password / Verify
Enter the drawer password in both of these fields and select
OK
when finished. The verification field is provided to minimize the chance of a mistyped password.
Deny access to drawer data through the interface with other CS applications
Mark this checkbox to make the drawer inaccessible from other CS Professional Suite applications that are equipped with features for viewing FileCabinet CS documents.
Exempt this drawer from all Data Sharing functionality
Mark this checkbox to prevent the current drawer from sharing data with other drawers and from being updated by changes to data in other drawers.
Deny other applications from modifying the drawer name
Mark this checkbox to retain the name of the current drawer at all times. When this option is marked, the drawer name will not change when a document is printed to it from another CS Professional Suite application where the client name differs from the name in FileCabinet CS.
