Printing documents to FileCabinet CS from non- CS Professional Suite applications

The process for storing documents from other CS Professional Suite applications is slightly different.
- From within the application in which the document was created, open the document you want to print to FileCabinet CS.
- The following steps vary depending on the application from which you are printing documents.Storing documents from Microsoft Office applications
- From within Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook, select thePrintbutton in the Microsoft Office FileCabinet CS toolbar.The FileCabinet CS installation process adds FileCabinet CS toolbars to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. The buttons in these toolbars allow you to quickly print or embed documents to FileCabinet CS.
- In theFileCabinet CS Driver Documentsdialog, select the desired FileCabinet CS data location from theFileCabinet CSfield. This is a read-only field if your organization currently has only one data location.
- Indicate the ID of the drawer in which the document should be stored, enter the name of the document as you want it to appear in FileCabinet CS, and choose the document folder in which you want to store the document. To select multiple drawers for the document you are storing, choose<<Select multiple drawers>>from theDrawer IDfield, select the destination drawers in theSelect Multiple Drawersdialog that opens, and selectOK.
- (Optional) Enter search keywords or a document description in theDocument description / keywords for searchingfield.
- Select theTo Cabinetbutton (orPrint & FCSbutton if you also marked thePrinterbutton) to store the document in FileCabinet CS.
note- You can also store documents from Microsoft Office applications via the print command in those applications, as with other applications.
- To print a copy of an email to FileCabinet CS once it has been sent from Outlook, select File > Options > Add-Ins, select the Add-In Options button, and mark thePrint copy to FileCabinet CS when email is sentcheckbox.
- To print Outlook email attachments to FileCabinet CS, select File > Options > Add-Ins, select theAdd-In Optionsbutton, and mark thePrint attachments to FileCabinet CS when email is printedcheckbox.
Storing documents from other applications- ChooseFile>Print(or select thePrintbutton
in the toolbar) to open the Printdialog. - SelectFileCabinet CS(orFileCabinet CS Virtual Office, if running FileCabinet CS through Virtual Office CS) as the print destination. Some Windows-based applications provide a drop-down list from which you can select the printer; others provide a printer button that can be used to change the print destination.
- SelectOK(or select thePrintbutton, depending on the application).
- In theFileCabinet CS Driver Documentsdialog, select the desired FileCabinet CS data location from theFileCabinet CSfield. This is a read-only field if your organization currently has only one data location.

- If a drawer in which you are storing a document is password protected in FileCabinet CS, you will be prompted to enter the password.
- Enter a unique drawer ID or select theAdd drawerbutton in theFileCabinet CS Driver Documentsdialog to add a drawer while printing a document.
