Adding custom links in the Home Page
You can add custom links to the
Home Page
for quick access to frequently used web pages or file paths. Custom links appear in Home Page
with the associated website icon or application icon.- Choose and go to theMisctab.
- Select theCustom linksbutton.
- Select theAddbutton and enter a description for the link in theDescriptionfield. For example, if you are adding a link to the IRS forms web page, you might enterIRS Formshere.noteFileCabinet CS will display this description in theHome Pageas linked text.
- Do one of the following.
- To add a link to a web page, select theWeb URLoption and enter a URL. For example,http://www.irs.gov.
- To add a link to a file on your network or your computer, select theFileoption, select the ellipsis
button, and navigate to a file. You can also enter the path to the file for which you will create a link.
noteTheIconfield shows the icon for the website or file that you enter in theWeb URLorFilefields. You can change this icon by selecting theBrowsebutton, navigating to an image file, and selecting it.noteIf you're running FileCabinet CS in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment, you can navigate to files on your local network. - SelectEnter, and then selectOKtwice.
