System Configuration / NetClient CS tab

Use this tab to globally designate folders from which all folder contents will be transmitted to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS for drawers that are designated as contributors to NetClient CS. You can also specify multiple drawers to be contributors to NetClient CS or unassign multiple drawers as contributors to NetClient CS.
To open this tab, choose
Setup
System Configuration
 and go to the
NetClient CS
 tab.

  • This tab is available only to FileCabinet CS users who are licensed for NetFirm CS.
  • This tab is not available if your security configuration has been set to restrict access to the
    System Configuration
     dialog and you have not entered the master password in the
    Security
     tab.

Fields & buttons

Folders list
Mark the checkboxes next to the folders you want to select globally for transmission to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS. Note that selections made here apply to all drawers that are designated as contributors to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS.
The left pane shows all document folders that have been set up in the
Document Folders
 tab of the
System Configuration
 dialog. Folders for each integrated CS Professional Suite application are listed below the document folders. Each application folder is expandable (by selecting the "+" to the left of the folder name) to show the period ends that are associated with that folder. Selecting a high-level folder also selects all subfolders of that folder. To select only certain period ends, expand the application folder to view its subfolders, and select the appropriate subfolders.
Note that the application folders that appear in the Folders list are determined by which CS Professional Suite applications are used to store documents in FileCabinet CS. For example, if you have never stored client documents from Fixed Assets CS directly to FileCabinet CS, that application folder does not appear in the list.

Selections made in the left pane are global selections. When you select a folder in this pane, all documents filed in the selected folder for all NetClient CS drawers are designated for transmission.
UltraTax CS components list
Mark the checkboxes for the components of UltraTax CS returns (year 2000 and later) that you want to transmit to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS.
The right pane shows the various components of an UltraTax CS tax return. You can clear any components that you do not want included when transmitting UltraTax CS returns to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS. These checkboxes are not available if UltraTax CS is not a valid application folder in your FileCabinet CS configuration.

These components apply only to tax returns created in 2000 UltraTax CS and later. If you transmit returns from 1999 UltraTax CS to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS, all pages will be transmitted, regardless of which component boxes are marked in the right pane.

The Report component refers to Asset reports only. Other reports, such as the Wages Report of a 1040 return, are included in the Tax Return component.
Select Drawers button
Use this button to open the
Select Drawers for NetClient CS
 dialog, where you can assign or unassign multiple drawers from being contributors to NetClient CS.
