System Configuration / Users tab

Use this tab to add, edit, delete, or import users. After users are added to FileCabinet CS, they can be assigned to groups for the purpose of setting access privileges.
To open this tab, choose
Setup
System Configuration
, enter the master password, and go to the
Users
tab.

This tab is available only if you have marked the
Enable Advanced User/Group Security
checkbox in the
Security
tab while standard security is enabled.

Fields & buttons

User list
This list displays the name for each user in addition to any groups to which they are currently assigned.
Add User button
Use this button to open the
Add User
dialog, where you can add a new user and assign that user to a group.
Edit User button
Use this button to open the
Edit User
dialog, where you can edit group membership of the selected user.
Delete User button
Use this button to delete a user.

You cannot delete your own user ID.
Import button
Use this button to import users from your firm's domain controller. Importing users eliminates the need to add each user separately. After users have been imported, they will be available to be assigned to groups.
A computer in your firm that manages user access to the network, including logging on and authentication, and access to the active directory and shared resources.
note
Do not attempt to use this feature if you are accessing FileCabinet CS through Virtual Office CS.
