Add a unit to a multiple-unit activity

Fixed Assets CS lets you define up to 250 business activities for each form, schedule, or fund that's capable of having multiple activities.
Do the following to add a unit to the multiple-unit activity.
  1. Open a client.
  2. In the Asset List window, select
    Setup
     then
    Activities
    .
  3. Select
    Add
    .
  4. Select the form or schedule you'll add a unit from to the
    Form/Schedule
     list.
  5. Go to
    Unit
    and enter a unit number (1 - 250).
  6. If all of the assets for this activity are held or located in the same state, select a situs from the
    Situs
     field.
    note
    You can't enter a situs for 1065 Business or COGS activities.
  7. Go to
    Description
    and enter a description of the multiple-unit activity.
  8. If necessary, select the option for the Method/Life Wizard type.
  9. If necessary, go to
    Economic type
     and select the type for this activity. The economic type lets the Method/Life Wizard select the correct lives to use when you've selected
    Machinery, equipment or fixture
     as the asset class.
  10. Select
    Enter
     to add the new unit.
  11. Select
    Done
     to add the new unit and close the Activity window.
    note
    The new unit is in the folders block.
