Install the conversion utility
To convert your depreciation data to Fixed Assets CS, you'll need to install the Fixed Assets CS Conversion Utility. Once installed, follow the instructions in the conversion guide for the application you're converting from.
The utility works only with the applications that are listed in this article. If you don’t have those applications, you can import data from Excel into Fixed Assets instead. Import asset data from an Excel spreadsheet and don't download the utility.
- Download the Fixed Assets CS Conversion Utility.
- If you get a prompt to run or save, selectSave.
- Find the depreciationconversions.zip in your downloads.
- Right-click depreciationconversions.zip and selectExtract.
- Follow the prompts to extract. You can extract to any location.
- Right-click the depreciationconversions.exe file and selectRun as administrator.
- If you get a warning that the application wants to make changes to your computer, selectYes.
- Follow the prompts in the InstallShield Wizard to install.
