Not reporting sold or scrapped assets on Form 4797
To dispose of an asset and have it not reported on Form 4797, you can follow either of the following steps:
- Enter disposal information for 1 asset.
- Enter a mass asset disposition.
Following these steps, after you select the
Sold / Scrapped
disposal method (on the Disposal
tab or in the Disposal Wizard
), select Not reported on Form 4797
for the Type of property
.
