Error: Can't get a network lock on this client
Scenario
You may get the following error message when creating a new client if the file location selected for the DeprData directory is invalid (a location that can't be accessed or written to).

To resolve the error select
Setup
, User Preferences
, then File Locations
and change the location of the Fixed Assets CS data location to a directory that can be accessed for writing.If the location isn't available, you'll need to add it in
Setup
, System Configuration
, then Data Locations
.
