Assign or change a master password
You can assign a master password to restrict access to security options and other system settings. Follow these steps to assign or change a master password.
- SelectSetup, thenSystem Configuration.
- Enter the master password in theSecuritytab and selectContinue. You can skip this step if you haven't assigned a master password yet.
- SelectModifyto enter and verify a new master password (8 characters maximum, not case sensitive).
- SelectOK.
tip
If you forget your master password, the licensee of the firm should call 800.968.0600, press 1 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, and ask the representative to help you obtain a temporary password. You can then enter the temporary password in
Setup
, System Configuration
, the Security
tab, select Modify
, and reset the master password.
