Configure the automatic backup of Fixed Assets CS client data into FileCabinet CS

If you're licensed for FileCabinet CS, you can configure Fixed Assets CS to back up your client data automatically to FileCabinet CS. Backups happen when you close a client's data in Fixed Assets CS. By default, a maximum of 3 backups per client are stored in FileCabinet CS, with a maximum of 1 backup per day.
Follow these steps to set up this feature or change the defaults.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    System Configuration
    .
    note
    Depending on your security configuration, you may need to enter the master password to open the
    System Configuration
     window.
  2. Select the
    FileCabinet CS
     tab.
  3. Make your changes using the fields in this window.

    The
    Automatically back up client data into the FileCabinet CS
     checkbox isn't marked by default.
  4. When you're done, select
    OK
     to close the
    System Configuration
     window.
    note
    When using this feature, a folder named
    Data Backup
     is created under each drawer ID in the FileCabinet CS Folder Window list. Drawer IDs in FileCabinet CS correspond to their respective client IDs in Fixed Assets CS.
