Set up associations for UltraTax CS state apportionment
If you've used associations to sort and identify assets for state apportionment, you can take the following steps to reassign a group of assets to the state apportionment association now used for the UltraTax CS state apportionment calculation.
- Open the client.Open the Asset List window for the activity.
- SelectEdit, thenReassign Assets.
- Identify the association previously used for sorting and identifying assets for state apportionment purposes.
- In the Focus group box, select the field for the association previously used for state apportionment.noteThe first time you open the Reassign Assets window, the field for each association showsAll [association name]. If you've used the reassign feature before, the field shows the association value you last selected.
- Select the association value to reassign.noteOnly assets assigned to the selected association value appear in theAssets available to reassignpane.
- UseSelect Allto select the assets.
- In the Reassign to group box, selectApportionment Codefrom theCategoryfield.
- In theValuefield, select the apportionment code for the assets listed in theAssets to reassignpane.
- SelectReassignto assign the selected assets to the new apportionment code.
- SelectYes.
- Repeat steps 4 to 9 until all assets are assigned to apportionment codes.
