UltraTax CS and Fixed Assets CS: Restore CSD files locally
If you have UltraTax CS installed locally as well as on Virtual Office, you can use it to complete the following steps:
- Restore the CSD file to your local version of UltraTax CS (by double-clicking the attachment).
- Back up the client data to a local hard drive usingFile, thenBackupin UltraTax CS.noteNetwork drives won't be mapped with Citrix on Virtual Office CS but you can access the network drive by typing\\Client\X$and the rest of the path to where you want to back it up on the network, where X is the letter of the network drive.
- Sign in to NetStaff CS and open the application.
- From within the application, selectFile, thenRestorein the application menu.
- SelectModify Backup Location, then select the location where the file was backed up on your local drive.noteAll local drives will have$after the initial letter; for example,C$(\\Client) (V:)is your local C: drive.
- SelectOK.
- SelectRestoreto restore the client data within Virtual Office.
