Back up custom methods, custom reports, or system settings

Follow these steps to backup custom methods, custom reports, or system settings (including asset labels, data locations, and import maps).
  1. Choose
    File
     and then
    Backup
    .
  2. Select
    Custom Methods
    ,
    Custom Reports
    , or
    System Settings
     from the dropdown field.
  3. In the
    Items available to select
     pane, the application displays as a single list item custom methods or custom reports. If you selected System Settings, the application displays 4 items - Asset Labels, Data Locations, Import Maps, and Status System Events. Use the
    Select
     option to move items to the
    Selected
     pane.
    note
    We recommend that you back up the updates for all CS Professional Suite applications at the same time so that everything remains compatible.
  4. Make sure that the backup location is correct. If it isn't, select
    Modify Backup Location
    , browse to the correct drive and path, then select
    OK
    .
  5. Select
    Backup
     and then
    Done
    .
    tip
    • The fields in the
      Focus client listing group
       box aren't available when archiving custom methods, custom reports, or system settings.
    • If you're backing up to FileCabinet CS (if licensed), select the
      FileCabinet CS
       option in the
      Backup data group
       box and use the dropdown to specify the backup location.
