Back up custom methods, custom reports, or system settings
Follow these steps to backup custom methods, custom reports, or system settings (including asset labels, data locations, and import maps).
- ChooseFileand thenBackup.
- SelectCustom Methods,Custom Reports, orSystem Settingsfrom the dropdown field.
- In theItems available to selectpane, the application displays as a single list item custom methods or custom reports. If you selected System Settings, the application displays 4 items - Asset Labels, Data Locations, Import Maps, and Status System Events. Use theSelectoption to move items to theSelectedpane.noteWe recommend that you back up the updates for all CS Professional Suite applications at the same time so that everything remains compatible.
- Make sure that the backup location is correct. If it isn't, selectModify Backup Location, browse to the correct drive and path, then selectOK.
- SelectBackupand thenDone.tip
- The fields in theFocus client listing groupbox aren't available when archiving custom methods, custom reports, or system settings.
- If you're backing up to FileCabinet CS (if licensed), select theFileCabinet CSoption in theBackup data groupbox and use the dropdown to specify the backup location.
