When defining a custom report, use the Column Properties dialog to define properties for the selected column.
- If the column isnumeric, you can use the Column Properties dialog to indicate whether the report should include subtotals and a grand total for the selected column. Note that the width of any numeric field is fixed and cannot be changed.
- If the column isnon-numeric, you can use the Column Properties dialog to adjust the width of the current column.
- If the column is for acustom association, you can use the Column Properties dialog to adjust the width of the current column and indicate whether the report should include subtotals and a grand total for the selected column.
To open this dialog, select the Properties button in the Custom Reports Layout dialog.

Enter the desired column width in number of characters (based on the allowed character range shown in the Length group box).
