Edit Label Layout > Define Label Size

Show all hidden content
Use this window to edit the size of the default labels or to add label sizes.
To open this window, select
Define label size
 in the Edit Label Layout window.

Fields & buttons

Label sizes
Lists the available label sizes.
note
  • To add a label size to the list, select
    Add
    , modify the size information then select
    Enter
    .
    To facilitate a new label size, highlight the label that has the size closest to what you want to create then select
    Add
    .
  • To delete an existing label size, highlight the label then select
    Delete
    .
  • You can't edit or delete the default label sizes.
Label name
Displays the name of the selected label size.
note
  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the margins of the default label sizes.
Top margin
Displays the top margin (the distance in inches between the top of the page and the top of the first line on the page) of the selected label size.
note
  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the margins of the default label sizes.
Label height
Displays the height of the selected label size.
note
  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the height of the default label sizes.
Left margin
Displays the left margin (the distance in inches between the left edge of the page and the left end of each line) of the selected label size.

  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the margins of the default label sizes.
Label width
Displays the width of the selected label size.

  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the width of the default label sizes.
Vertical pitch
Displays the vertical pitch (the distance from the top of one label to the top of the label below it) of the selected label size.

  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the pitch of the default label sizes.
Number across
Displays the number of columns of labels across the top of the page for the selected label size.

  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the number across for the default label sizes.
Horizontal pitch
Displays the horizontal pitch (the distance from the left edge of one label to the left edge of the label to the right) of the selected label size.

  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the pitch of the default label sizes.
Number down
Displays the number of rows of labels down the side of the page for the selected label size.
note
  • This field is available only after you either select
    Add
     or highlight the label size to edit in the list pane then select
    Edit
    . After entering information in this field, select
    Enter
     to save your changes.
  • You can't change the number down for the default label sizes.
