Occasionally, you may need to move assets from one business activity, situs, or association to another. Use the window to select assets to reassign without re-entering asset data.

Lists all assets that are available for selection.
- Activity: Select an activity from the dropdown list for theActivityfield.
- Situs: Select a location from theSitusdropdown list to list only those assets that are assigned to a specific situs.noteOnly assets that are not in multiple-unit activities can be reassigned to different situses through theReassign Assetswindow. Multiple-unit activity assets are assigned to a situs based on the activity in which they reside. To change the situs for a multiple-unit activity,select. However, 1065 clients with tax years that end 12/31/16 or later are an exception. - Association Value: Use theAssociation Valuefields to customize the asset listing according to group, location, property type, division, or any custom association that maintains a list.
You can change the columns that are displayed here using the checkboxes in the
Focus

Lists the assets you have selected.

To remove an asset from this list, select the asset and select
Remove
. The asset returns to the Assets available to reassign pane on the left.Activity
To display only those assets contained in a specific activity folder, select that activity from the dropdown list.
If you want all assets in all activities to be available for selection, select
(All Activities)
from the dropdown list.Situs
To display only those assets that are assigned to a specific situs, select that situs from the dropdown list.
- To have all assets for all situses available for selection, selectAll Situsfrom the dropdown list.
- To have all assets that are not assigned to any situs available for selection, selectNo Situsfrom the dropdown list.

Display column
Use the checkboxes next to the association titles to determine which columns are displayed in the Assets available to reassign pane. Note that marking and clearing these checkboxes doesn’t affect the assets that are available to reassign.
Association Value
A field appears here for each association that maintains a list.
Use these fields to limit the assets that are available in the Assets available to reassign pane.
- To include all assets that are assigned to a particular association, select(All [association])from the dropdown list.
- To include only assets that are assigned to a particular association value, select that value from the dropdown list.
To include all assets that haven’t been assigned to a particular association, select
(No [association] association)
from the dropdown list. For example, if you want to include in the list all assets that are not assigned to a location, select (No Location association)
from the dropdown list.Category
Select the category (activity, situs, or association) to which you want to reassign the selected assets. Then, select the value to which you want to reassign the selected assets from

Select the value to which you want to reassign the selected assets.
- WhenActivityis selected as the category, you can select all non-multi-unit activities and multi-unit activities that are set up for the client.
- When an association is selected as the category, you can select any value that has been entered for that association, or you can select no association.
- WhenSitusis selected as the category, you can select any situs from the dropdown list.If the situs was not previously selected for the client inSetup, thenSituses, you will be prompted to add the situs to the client when an asset is assigned to the new situs.
