Use this window to record any of the following:
- Sale of multiple assets for 1 sale price.
- Like-kind exchange of multiple assets for 1 asset.
- Disposal of multiple assets by the Out of Service or Retired method.
note
You can't dispose of Section 1245 assets by using a like-kind exchange after 12/31/17.
To open this window, open the Asset List window and do one of the following:
- Select Tasks, then Mass Disposition.
- Select the Mass Disposition button in the Asset List window.
Fields & buttons
List of mass dispositions
Displays a description and other information for existing mass dispositions.
Description
Displays the name of the selected mass disposition.
This description prints on the disposals report.
note
To edit the name of an existing mass disposition, select an item in the list, select the Edit button, edit the name in this field, and then select the Enter button.
Select Assets button
Select this button to open the Select Assets window in which you can modify the selection of specific assets that belong to the current mass disposition.
note
This button is available only after you select a mass disposition and select the Edit button. After making your selections in the Select Assets window and selecting OK, select the Enter button in the Mass Disposition window to save your changes.
Enter Disposal Information button
Select this button to open the Disposal tab, in the Enter Disposal Information window, in which you can enter the type of disposal, date of disposal, and other information.

This button is available only after you select a mass disposition and select the Edit button. After entering the information in the Disposal tab and selecting OK, select the Enter button in the Mass Disposition window to save your changes.
