Main Fixed Assets CS toolbar

Some buttons may be not be available depending on whether you have a client open.
Button
Function
New client
Opens the
New Client
window where you can add a new client for processing. Shortcut:
Ctrl+N
.
Open client
Opens the
Open Client
 window, where you can select an existing client for processing. Shortcut:
Ctrl+O
.
Save
Saves the open client's data. Shortcut:
Ctrl+S
.
Open Client Properties
Opens the
Client Properties
 window from the
File
 menu. Here you can update information for the current client. You can also select the down arrow to view summary information and links to external documents for the open client.
Select Period to Process
Opens the
Select Period to Process
 window from the File menu. You can use this to enter or view data for a different processing period or to advance to a new processing period.
Open Client Note
Opens the
Client Note
 window from where you can enter a note or reminder about the open client.
Open Client Status
Opens the
Client Status
 window from where you can log events for clients, view scheduled events for the day, or schedule events. Shortcut:
F5
.
Cut
Cut the selected asset. Shortcut:
Ctrl+X
.
Copy button with icon of 2 documents
Copy
Copy the selected asset. Shortcut:
Ctrl+C

Paste
Paste the selected asset. Shortcut:
Ctrl+V
.
Find Asset
Opens the
Find Asset
 option. Shortcut:
Ctrl+F
.
Open CS Connect
Opens CS Connect, a utility to help you with the following tasks.
  • Download application updates and user bulletins.
  • Retrieve licenses.
  • Receive other timely information.
Open FileCabinet CS
Opens FileCabinet CS. You can use this application for storage and retrieval of documents produced in by CS Professional Suite.

This button appears only if you're licensed for and have installed FileCabinet CS.
Print
Opens the
Print
 window, from which you can print reports and forms. Shortcut:
Ctrl+P
.
Print Current Asset
Opens the
Print Current Asset
 window, which allows you to print the following reports. Shortcut:
Ctrl+1
.
  • The Depreciation Projection Report for any treatment being calculated for the current asset. This report displays current depreciation allowed for each year of the asset's life.
  • The Asset Information Report for the current asset. This report prints the information on the
    Depreciation
     tab of the
    Asset Detail
     window.
  • The Asset Note Report for the current asset. This report prints the information entered on the
    Note
     tab of the
    Asset Detail
     window.
Homepage
Opens the Fixed Assets CS
homepage
, which provides links to frequently used functions and information about the application's status.
The button will have a red exclamation point when a new alert is available. If you view the alert for at least 15 seconds, the exclamation point will disappear.

Asset Detail toolbar

The
Asset Detail toolbar
 appears when you select
Add
 or
Modify
 in the Asset List window.
Point your cursor to a button on the toolbar to show a description.
