Create a lookup list in a text file
Follow these steps to create a lookup list as a text file.
- Create a new text file and name it the same as the drawer's ID (for example, "0000000001.txt").noteDrawer IDs are provided to your firm during GoFileRoom implementation.
- Determine the number of associated fields for your lookup list. Each row in your text file will be considered 1 associated value for several fields. If your organization has associated 3 fields, then each row should have 2 pipes separating the 3 values in each row.note
- If your organization has 3 associated fields and you place 4 values in a row (or 3 pipes), that row will be skipped during the import process.
- GoFileRoom automatically eliminates extra spaces and duplicate entries during processing.
- After all matching values are entered in your text file, selectFile, thenSave.
- Import the lookup list into GoFileRoom.
