Create notifications for Client Center or ClientFlow

If your firm has licensed integration with NetClient portals via ClientFlow or Onvio portals via GoFileRoom Client Center, you can set up notifications for portal users.
You need to be part of the [HOMEPAGE USERS] group in GoFileRoom to access the home screen. If you're in the Administrators group in GoFileRoom, you may create notifications for groups and/or other users - see examples below.
tip
You can make notification rules public so that everyone at the firm can see the rules. You can create several types of notification rules for both internal and external use.

Notify clients that a document has been published to their portal

  1. Select
    Home
     in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. Select
    Add Notification Rule
    , then
    Add Document Rule
    .
  3. Select
    When a document is published
     from the dropdown in the
    Action to Notify
     field and enter a
    Rule Name
    .
    note
    The Rule Name will be the subject line of the notification email the client receives.
  4. In the Recipients section, mark
    send notification to users or groups
     and select
    Groups
     from the dropdown.
  5. Select
    [CLIENTFLOW USERS]
    , then
    Add
    .

Notify staff that a client has uploaded a document

  1. Select
    Home
     in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. Select
    Add Notification Rule
    , then
    Add Document Rule
    .
  3. Select
    When a document is added
     from the dropdown in the
    Action to Notify
     field and enter a
    Rule Name
    .
    note
    The Rule Name will be the subject line of the notification email the staff member receives.
  4. In the Recipients section, mark
    send notification to users or groups
     and select
    Mapped Contacts
     from the dropdown.
  5. Select the staff members you want to receive the notification, select
    Add
    , then
    Next
    .
  6. In the
    Conditions (optional)
     section, select
    Groups
     from the dropdown.
  7. Select
    [CLIENTFLOW USERS]
    , then
    Add
    .
note
  • The [CLIENTFLOW USERS] selection is a variable. This variable works for integration with either NetClient portals (US only) or Client Center portals. Notifications will only go to the relevant portal users when something is published that they have visibility to, and not to all users.
  • This rule will apply to all GoFileRoom ClientFlow/Client Center  portal users, regardless of which staff person publishes documents to Client Center.
  • GoFileRoom sends one notification for each document that is published to the portals. For example, if 5 documents are published to Client Center, your client will receive 5notifications.
