GoFileRoom Add-in ribbon buttons are grayed out
Cloud-sync services like OneDrive or SharePoint can briefly lock files, causing the GoFileRoom Add-in to temporarily turn off its ribbon buttons.
Scenario
The GoFileRoom Add-in ribbon buttons become grayed out and not available while you work in a Word or Excel document.
Solution
- Move the document to a local folder that OneDrive, SharePoint, or another cloud sync service doesn't manage.
- In theGoFileRoom Add-inribbon, selectRefresh.
The ribbon buttons become active again.
To avoid this issue, work from a local, non-synced folder when you use the GoFileRoom Add-in.
If you regularly work from a OneDrive or SharePoint folder, select
Refresh
each time you reopen a document from that location to re-establish the connection.
