Configure the MyFiles drawer
The MyFiles drawer is for private documents. Follow these steps to manage user access to this drawer.
- SelectAdministrationthenManage Users & Group.
- Go to theGroupstab and add a group with the following details:
- Select Group: New Group
- Group Name: D-MY FILES [RAED] - FULL ACCESS
- Comments: Drawer Permission Groups
- Upload Location: Unassigned
- SelectSave.
- Go to theGroup Permissionstab, selectD-MY FILES [RAED] - FULL ACCESSfrom theGroupdropdown, and mark the following checkboxes:
- Readfor the FileRoom.
- Read,Add,Edit,Delete, andLookup Mgmtfor My Files.
- SelectSave.
- Go to theGroupstab and add a group with the following details:
- Select Group: New Group
- Group Name: D-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESS
- Comments: Drawer Permission Groups
- Upload Location: Unassigned
- SelectSave.
- Go to theGroup Permissionstab, selectD-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESSfrom theGroupdropdown, and mark the following checkboxes:
- Readfor the FileRoom.
- Read,Add,Edit, andDeletefor My Files.
- SelectSave.
- Go to theGroup Document Securtytab, selectD-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESSfrom theGroupdropdown, and set the following settings:
- Select theFileRoomthen theMyFilesdrawer.
- SelectAuthorfrom the Indexes thenDeny Access.
- Enter anasteriskin theLookupfield then selectAdd.
- SelectSave.
- Go back to theGroupstab and enter users to the new groups:
- Add the users you want to have access to all documents in MyFiles toD-MY FILES [RAED] - FULL ACCESS.
- Add the users you want to have access only to their own documents toD-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESS.
- Go to theUser Document Securitytab, select a member of theD-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESSgroup, then set the following settings:
- Select theFileRoomthen theMyFilesdrawer.
- SelectAuthorfrom the Indexes thenAllow Access.
- Select the user's name from the theLookupfield then selectAdd.
- Repeat step 13 for each member ofD-MY FILES [RAED] - LIMITED ACCESS.
