Troubleshoot Upload Documents service when there are no documents in the UploadDocuments folder
Follow these steps if there are no documents in the UploadDocuments folder when using GoFileRoom Upload Documents service. You might receive a Scanned Service Alert email.
- Follow these steps to stop the Upload Documents service:
- Open Windows Control Panel.
- SelectSystem and Security.
- SelectAdministrative Tools, thenServices.
- Right-clickGoFileRoom Upload Documentsand selectStop.
- Open the following Error folder based on your version of Windows:
- 32-bit:C:\Program Files\GoFileRoom\GFRUploadDocuments\UploadDocuments\Error
- 64-bit:C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFileRoom\GFRUploadDocuments\UploadDocuments\Error
Each ERR file in the directory represents a document that failed to upload after 6 attempts. - Right-click the first ERR file and selectOpen with, thenNotepad.
- Go to the first line containingDocuments attemptsand change the value from6to0.
- Save and close the file.
- Right-click the file and selectRename.
- Rename the file's extension from.errto.xml.
- Open the log file with the date from the Scanned Status Alert email.
- Check forError logging into GFRorCannot communicate with the GoFileRoom Server.
- Go back to the GFRUploadDocuments directory.
- Right-clickGFRUploadDocsConfigurator.exeand selectRun as administrator.
- Reenter the upload account information for the firm and selectSave.If you see the errorCould not save client ID for Auto Update...it means you've entered the wrong account information.
- Follow these steps to restart the Upload Documents service:
- Open Windows Control Panel.
- SelectSystem and Security.
- SelectAdministrative Tools, thenServices.
- Right-clickGoFileRoom Upload Documentsand selectStart.
