Update old Word or Excel formats

Microsoft doesn't support DOC or XLS documents anymore, so you may want to update them in GoFileRoom to their new DOCX and XLSX formats.

Find the document to update in GoFileRoom.

Export the document and save it to your computer without changing the name or extension.

note

Do not change the file extension manually because that can corrupt the file.

Open the document in Word or Excel.

Select File, then Save as.

Change the Save As type to Word Document (*.docx)
or Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)
, then select Save
.

Add the file back into GoFileRoom as a new file and remove the old file.
