Add scanned pages to a PDF in GoFileRoom

You can add scanned pages to a PDF document already saved in GoFileRoom.

  • If you're adding more than one scanned document to a PDF, only the first scanned document is merged to the PDF. GoFileRoom creates new documents with the same index values as the original PDF for the rest of the scanned documents.
  • If a PDF document is checked out when you try to add scanned pages, GoFileRoom makes the PDF read-only until it's checked in. Once checked in, the two documents are merged.
  • If a PDF is password protected, GoFileRoom uploads the scanned document as a separate document with same indexes as the original PDF.
  • GoFileRoom converts files scanned in as TIFF files to PDF.
  1. In GoFile Room, use the search feature to find the PDF you want to add scanned pages to.
  2. In the search results grid, mark the checkbox for the PDF.
  3. Right-click and select
    Append Pages to PDF
    .
  4. Print the Append Barcode cover page and place it on top of the paper documents you're going to scan to add to the PDF.
  5. Scan the paper documents into GoFileRoom using your Scan station.
