Form W-2 print requirements

Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, prints when you calculate and print it.
To print Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement:
  1. In the Organizer, select
    Source Documents (W-2, 1099s, 1098)
    , then
    W-2
    .
  2. Enter any missing information.
  3. Do a full recompute, then print.
If Form W-2: Wage and Tax Statement doesn't print, check whether it's suppressed:
  1. In
    Organizer
    , select
    General Information
    , then
    Return and Print Options
    .
  2. Go to the
    Basic Options
    tab. In the
    Attachment Print Options
    section, make sure
    Print
    is selected for
    Print W-2 and 1099 when e-filing
    .
  3. Do a full recompute, then print.
If wages entered in Box 1 of Form W-2 aren't transferring to Form 1040, page 1, line 7, check whether the W-2 is marked as belonging to a statutory employee. When the
Statutory employee
checkbox in Box 13 is marked, the software reports wages on Schedule C, line 1c, instead of transferring them to Form 1040, line 7.
  1. In the
    Organizer
    , select
    Source Documents
    , then select the
    W-2
    , and verify whether
    Statutory employee
    is marked in Box 13.
  2. If the W-2 is correctly marked as
    Statutory employee
    , go to
    Organizer
    Income
    Business Income
    and select the business name.
  3. Select
    Business Information
    , then go to the
    Sch C Activity Info
    tab.
  4. Mark the
    Taxpayer received earnings as a statutory employee (earnings are not subject to SE tax)
    checkbox.
  5. Enter the
    Statutory employee income
    amount in the Statutory Employee Income section.
    note
    Don't include the statutory employee's wages in the gross receipts of the business.
  6. Do a full recompute, then print.
