Steps for using Tax Equalization (TEQ)
When you finish the tax return and are ready to prepare the tax equalization, follow these steps.
- With the locator open, go toOrganizer,Foreign Information, and thenCustom Tax Equalization.
- SelectCompute Tax Equalization, and then selectOKthrough the process.
- The system copies the return into a new tax equalization locator. The new locator number gets displayed in theHypo Locator Numberfield.
- Next open the new TEQ locator.
- Go toOrganizer,Foreign Information,Custom Tax Equalization.
- SelectCompute Options.
- Enter the template number you want to use in theEnter applicable template codefield. Upon selecting a template, certain items will be prepopulated for you based on your settings.
