Compute options for distributions/presentation of non-DNI items
Follow these steps to select compute options affecting distribution/presentation of non-DNI items.
- In theOrganizer, selectGeneral Information.
- SelectReturn and Print Options - Irrevocable, then theCompute Optionstab.
- The following options affect distribution:
- [206]: Distribution of depreciation
- [207]: Distribution of depletion
- [208]: Distribution of foreign taxes paid
- SelectRETAIN IN TRUSTto have depreciation/depletion transfer to Schedule E. The net activity income is then available for distribution (net of depreciation).
- SelectTOTALLY DISTRIBUTEto have depreciation/depletion transfer directly to the K-1 and bypass DNI.
