Form 8855, Qualified Revocable Trust (QRT)
The trustees and the executor of the estate use this form to make a Section 645 election. This election allows a qualified revocable trust (QRT) to be treated and taxed (for income tax purposes) as part of its related estate during the election period. Once the election's made, it can't be revoked.
To enter QRT information:
- Go toOrganizer,General Information,Section 645 Election,Qualified Revocable Trust Information, and thenQRT.
- SelectAdd new Qualified Revocable Trust.
- Enter the EIN and name of the trust.
- Enter the name of the trustee.
- Enter the trust's domestic or foreign address. If foreign, include the province, postal code, and country.
- Enter the signature line for the trustee.
- Select the trustee entity type.
- Enter the trust's EIN.
