e-file an amended return

For partnership returns, the amended return should include the main form and any changes needing to be made.

This return must be accepted
before you can file an amended return.

You can e-file amended returns for the current tax year and the prior 2 years.

To prepare a partnership amended return for electronic filing, complete these steps.

Create a copy of the return.

Open the new return and go to Organizer
, General Information
, Basic Return Information
, and then the Return Information
tab.

Select Amended return
.

Enter all necessary changes throughout the Organizer screens.

Next go to Organizer
, and then Amended Return
.

Next, make all the necessary changes to this return.

Perform a full re-compute, re-create the e-file, then re-submit.
