E-file an amended return

E-file an amended partnership return for the current year or prior 2 years after the original return is accepted.

For partnership returns, the amended return should include the main form and any changes needing to be made.

This return must be accepted before you can file an amended return.

You can e-file amended returns for the current tax year and the prior 2 years.

To prepare a partnership amended return for electronic filing, complete these steps.

Create a copy of the return.

Open the new return and go to

Organizer
General Information
Basic Return Information
Return Information

tab.

Select Amended return
.

Enter all necessary changes using the Organizer screens.

Go to

Organizer
Amended Return

.

Make all the necessary changes to this return.

Perform a full recompute, re-create the e-file, then re-submit.
