Suppress Form 7004

Prevent Federal Form 7004, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File Certain Business Income Tax, Information, and Other Returns, from printing on 1065 returns.
Form 7004 can continue to print even after you disable extension settings. This happens when multiple areas of the return trigger the form to print.
To stop the form from printing, disable each trigger individually.
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    IRC § 1446 Withholding Tax
    Form 7004 - Ext for Form 8804
    . Clear the
    Print Form 7004
     checkbox.
  2. Go to
    Organizer
    General Information
    Return and Print Options
    Other Forms Compute Options
     tab. In the
    Extension Print Options
     section,
    Option Return is on extension
    , make sure the
    Suppress Form 7004 print
     checkbox is marked.
  3. Go to
    Organizer
    Informational Forms
    Withholding for Foreign Persons
    Extension
    . Clear the
    File form 7004
     checkbox.
  4. Go to
    Organizer
    Federal E-file Extension
    Create E-file Extension
    . In the
    Extension Acknowledgment
     section, select the
    IRS acknowledgment
     link. Mark the
    Suppress print of Electronic Return Acknowledgement
     checkbox.
  5. Go to
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    IRC § 1446 Withholding Tax
    Form 7004 - Ext for Form 8804
    . Clear the
    Print Form 7004
     checkbox.
  6. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
