Form BIT-V print requirements

To print, calculate, or suppress Form BIT-V, Alabama Business Income Tax Voucher:

For Estimates

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    State and City Activation
     folder.
  2. Select
    State and City Activation
    . In Alabama row, don't select Financial Return in Column F.
  3. Go to
    Common States
    ,
    Print Options
     folder. Select
    Print Suppression
    , go to
    Al-ME
     tab. In Alabama row, don't select
    Est Tax
    .
  4. Go to
    Alabama
     folder, select
    Overpayment and Estimate Options
    , and
    Estimated Tax
     tab. Go to
    Estimate Option
    , don't select Suppress Compute And Print.
  5. Go to
    Compute and Print Options
     section, don't select line Suppress print if No Payments Are Due After Applying Overpayment and select the
    Generate Estimated Tax Voucher
     field.
  6. Go to
    Tax Forms
    ,
    States
    ,
    Alabama
    ,
    20C-Tax Return
    ,
    Page 1
    ,
    Line 21a
    ,
    Drill down on hyperlink
    ,
    Estimated Tax Schedule
    ,
    Total Estimate line | Installment Amount minus Overpayment Applied
  7. To populate the amounts on Installment Amount column, go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Alabama
     folder. Select
    Overpayment and Estimate Options
    ,
    Estimated Tax
     tab,
    Payments on Next Year's Estimated Tax
     section, enter the amounts on the lines.

For Extensions

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Common State
    ,
    Estimates and Extension
     folder, select
    Estimates and Extension
    . In the Alabama row, select the fields in Column B and Column H and enter the amount in Column C.
  2. Then, go to
    Tax Forms
    ,
    States
    ,
    Alabama
     folder, select
    BIT - Payment Voucher
     amount must be populated on line Amount Paid.

For Return Payments

  1. Go to
    Tax Forms
    ,
    States
    ,
    Alabama
     folder. Select
    BIT-V Payment Voucher
    , line
    Amount Paid
     and the fields Extension and Amended must not be selected.
  2. Do a full recompute and refresh the print.
