Schedule INS print requirements

To print, calculate, or suppress Schedule INS Tax for Foreign Insurers:
  1. Go to
    Tax forms
    , and select
    States
     folder, then
    Illinois
    .
  2. Select
    Selected Options
    , then
    Filing Type
     tab.
  3. In
    Illinois
    Entity Type
     section, make sure the following options are not marked:
    1. Top consolidation
    2. Sub-consolidation
  4. In
    Organizer
    , select
    States
    folder
    , then
    Illinois
    .
  5. Select
    General
    Information
     in the
    General Information
     section.
  6. Make sure
    Foreign
    insurer
     option is selected.
  7. In
    Tax forms,
     select
    States
     folder, then
    Illinois
    .
  8. Select
    Sch INS-Tax for Foreign Insurers
    .
  9. Make sure that there is an amount on one of the following lines:
    1. Step 3, line 16
      .
    2. Step 3, line 18
      .
  10. Also, make sure that the amount on
    S
    tep
    3
    ,
    line 15
     is less than
    line 12
    .
  11. Do a full recompute and print the return.
If the form doesn't print, make sure it isn’t suppressed:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
     and select
    States
    , then
    Illinois
    .
  2. Select
    Return Options
    , in
    Print Suppression
    .
  3. Make sure the option
    Schedule INS/Schedule UB/INS and do not bring
    computed
    taxes to Form IL-1120, page 1, part II, line 1 and 2
     is not selected.
  4. Do a full recompute, then print.
