Print Form 500CP Virginia Extension filing instructions
In the product, you can only paper file the Virginia extension. However, because Virginia requires electronic payment (unless you have a waiver), the extension and filing instructions for a paper extension don’t generate unless you do the following:
- InOrganizerselectStatesthenVirginia.
- SelectReturn Options.
- In theForce Printsection, selectE-file waiver has been received from Department of Taxation.
- Do a full recompute and try to generate again.

If e-filing instructions are still printing, check the following:
- Go toOrganizer, thenLetters and Filing Instructions, General Options.
- Select an option other thanSuppress All Lettersin theSelect which letters you wish to print (Mandatory)section
- Do a full recompute and try to generate again.
