IND-202 e-file error

You'll get this error when the
E-filing ID number
 is missing

Error message

* IND-202: VendorControlNum in FilingSecurityInformation in the Return Header must have a value. You'll need to provide a copy of the IRS e-file application summary from your IRS e-services account. Send the summary to GSTEFINCertificate@TR.com, and include your firm ID in the subject line.

Solution

To resolve:
  1. Go to
    RS Browser
    ,
    Admin
    , and then
    Tax Defaults
    . You may need an administrator to help access this area of the system.
  2. Select
    Account Defaults
    ,
    E-file
    , and
    General Information
    .
  3. Enter in the
    E-Filing ID number
    .
