R0000-236 e-file error
This rejection occurs when a binary PDF attachment for Form 8288-A is submitted, but MeF doesn't accept it as a binary attachment.

Solution
- If Form 1040NR, Page 2, Line 25f shows a withholding amount, go to and enter Form 8288-A.
- Enter the withholding agent's name and address, and the person subject to withholding. Enter the date of transfer and select the country code in box 7. Enter the withholding amount in box 2.
- Remove the entry at .
- Remove the PDF attachment for Form 8288-A, since you've now entered the form data in the Source Documents section.
- Run a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
