SA-F8936-003 e-file error

If Schedule A (Form 8936), VINNewClnVehInServiceTYInd has a choice of "Yes" indicated, then [ PrevOwnClnVehInServiceTYInd and VINQlfyCmrclClnVehInSrvcTYInd ] must not have values.
This happens when Schedule A Form 8936, VINNewClnVehInServiceTYInd has a choice of
Yes
 indicated and PrevOwnClnVehInServiceTYInd and VINQlfyCmrclClnVehInSrvcTYInd have values.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Credits
    Clean Vehicle Credits – 8936
     folder.
  2. Go to
    Clean Vehicle Detail
     folder, select
    Vehicle Name
     in
    Form 8936-A - Clean Vehicle Credit Amount
     section.
  3. If you select
    Question 5
     as
    YES
    , then
    Question 6
     and
    7
     should be blank.
  4. Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.

The questions on that page need to be answered based on which parts of
Form 8936
 you are filling out.
  • For Parts II and III, answer only Question 5 and then the items under Part II. Leave 6 and 7 blank.
  • For Part IV, answer only Question 6 and then the items under Part IV. Leave 5 and 7 blank.
  • For Part V, answer Questions 6 and 7 and then the items under Part V. Leave 5 blank.
