ALPPT-007a e-file error
AL E-File (PPT): ALPPT-007a: If Form PPT, Page 1, Line 5 is greater than or equal to 0 but less than or equal $100, you do not have a Business Privilege Tax filing requirement. Do not submit return, unless requesting a refund.
This happens because the business privilege tax is less than $100, which is under the filing threshold. You don't need to file Form PPT.
Solution
- Go toTax Forms,States,Alabama,PPT,PPT, Page 1, thenLine 5 (Privelege Tax Due).
- Review line 5 to make sure it is correct.
- If it is less than $100, and you don't need to file it, suppress the form.
- To suppress Form PPT is to do a space bar override on Line 5.
- Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
