Error: The field SSN with value [SSN], data is missing

This happens when the
Business Representative SSN
on
Alabama Form 65
contains a 0, is missing, or isn't in the 9-digit format. The IRS and state don't accept a series of repeated numbers (such as 999-99-999).

Error message

Validation failed on [FILE_ID]: Form: Form65[1] Footer[1]/BusinessReprensentative[1]/SSN[1] Requirement: Type for Social Security No. - 9 digits Error: The field 'SSN' with value '[SSN]', data is missing. Element Name: SSN XPath: /ReturnState[1]/ReturnDataState[1]/Form65[1]/Footer[1]/BusinessReprensentative[1]/SSN[1] XML Fragment: [SSN] Field Key: 70,3,4,0,0,0,0,0,0 Error Code: [CODE] Error Reason: '[SSN]' violates pattern constraint of '[0-9]{9}'. The element '{http://www.irs.gov/efile}SSN' with value '[SSN]' failed to parse.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common State
    General Information
    Basic Return Information
    Signature Information
    tab.
  2. Enter a 9-digit SSN in
    Column I
    .
  3. Perform a full recompute.
  4. Recreate the e-file.
note
If you can't provide a valid SSN, file a paper return for Alabama.
