Error: The field ‘Entity’ data format is not correct
When e-filing a Delaware 1065 return, validation fails because the Entity field value parses as text instead of an integer. This occurs when the Entity Override field is blank.

The Entity value may vary (for example, “01 Individual”, “02 Partnerships”, “04 Domestic Corporation”, “07 Estate”, “08 Trust”, or “13 Limited Liability Company”), but the cause and solution are the same.
Solution
- Go to .
- In theEntity Overridecolumn, select the same entity as shown in theEntity Typecolumn. Don't leaveEntity Overrideblank.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
