IL1120B-2400-1 e-file error

This happens when Column C is missing a Social Security number (SSN) or FEIN for a partner with a U.S. mailing address on Schedule B, Section B.

Error message

IL1120B-2400-1: If SchILB Section B Col A (US Mailing Line 1) is present, then the same occurrence of SchILB Line Section B Col C (SSN) or SchILB Line Section B Col C (FEIN) must be present. A SSN or FEIN is required if a US address is used.

Solution 1

  1. Select the
    Schedule B Summary
     link to review Column C for the partners referenced in the diagnostic.
  2. Go to
    Organizer
    Partner Information
    Partner by Partner Data
    [Partner name]
    Partner Information
    Partner Information
     and verify the partner's address.
  3. Verify whether the partner has a U.S. state selected and a domestic ZIP Code entered.
  4. Enter either an SSN or EIN if present. If not, the partner is foreign.
  5. Select
    Foreign Country
     from the dropdown, then select
    Foreign
     in the SSN/EIN section.

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Illinois
    E-file
    Attachments
    K-1 Aggregation
    Summary
    .
  2. Verify if the Schedule B partner information is suppressed.
  3. If so, correct the K-1 aggregation file.
  4. Reattach the file, then clear the diagnostic.
