IL1120B-2400-1 e-file error

IL1120B-2400-1: If SchILB Section B Col A (US Mailing Line 1) is present, then the same occurrence of SchILB Line Section B Col C (SSN) or SchILB Line Section B Col C (FEIN) must be present. A SSN or FEIN is required if a US address is used.

Solution

  1. In
    Tax Forms
     select
    States
     then
    Illinois
  2. In the
    Sch B-Partner Identification
     folder, select
    Schedule B
    .
  3. On
    Schedule B, Page 2
     select the
    Schedule B Summary
     link to review Column C for the partner(s) referenced in the diagnostic
  4. Go to
    Organizer
     and select
    Partner Information
     then
    Partner by Partner Data
    .
  5. Select the partner's name, then
    Partner Information
  6. On the
    Partner Information
     screen check the partner address.
  7. If the partner has a U.S.
    State
     selected and a
    Domestic zip code
     entered, you need to enter an
    SSN \ EIN
     on this screen. Otherwise, it is a foreign partner. Make sure you have selected the
    Foreign Country
     in the drop-down menu and selected
    Foreign
     in the
    SSN/EIN
     section.
If you've suppressed Schedule B partner information in
Organizer > States > Illinois > E-file > Attachments > K-1 Aggregation > Summary
, corrections will need to be made in the K-1 aggregation file and then reattached before clearing the diagnostic.
