Error: The field ‘PaymentAmount’ with value '0.0' data format is not correct

The
PaymentAmount
field fails validation because the value '0.0' doesn't meet the minimum constraint of '1.00'. This occurs when bank information for direct debit is incomplete or partially entered.

Error message

Validation failed on [FILE_ID]: Error: The field 'PaymentAmount' with value '0.0', data format is not correct. Element Name: PaymentAmount XPath: /ReturnState[1]/FinancialTransaction[1]/StatePayment[1]/PaymentAmount[1] XML Fragment: 0.0 Field Key: 125,811,8,0,0,0,0,0,0 Error Code: [CODE] Error Reason: '0.0' violates minInclusive constraint of '1.00'. The element '{http://www.irs.gov/efile}PaymentAmount' with value '0.0' failed to parse.

Solution 1: Complete the bank information

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common State
    General Information
    Bank Information
    .
  2. Select the
    Direct Debit
    tab.
  3. Enter data in Columns K, L, O, and Q for Indiana.
  4. Mark the
    Authorization to debit funds
    checkbox in Column B.
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

Solution 2: Remove partial bank information

If you don't want to enter bank information:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common State
    General Information
    Bank Information
    .
  2. Select the
    Direct Debit
    tab.
  3. Remove all bank information entries for Indiana, including any value (such as
    NONE
    ) in Column H.
  4. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
Indiana requires complete bank information to qualify the return for e-filing. If you don't provide bank information, you'll need to paper file the Indiana return.
