FinTran-98190-005 and FinTran-98150-005 e-file error
This happens when a Direct Debit return is missing a requested payment date, or the State Payment Amount is present but not greater than 0.
Error message
FinTran-98190-005: Requested Payment date must be present for Direct Debit returns. FinTran-98150-005: State Payment Amount in Financial Transaction, if present, must be greater than 0.
Solution
- Determine whether tax is due on Maryland Form 510E.
- If no tax is due, mail the paper form only if it is the entity's first filing.
- File the extension at www.marylandtaxes.gov. Telefile the form by calling 410-260-7829 from central Maryland or 1-800-260-3664 from elsewhere.
- If tax is due, go to and enter all required banking information, including theDate amount is to be debited.
