SPF-100-003 e-file error

This happens when the "Partnership" checkbox is marked on Form SPF-100, but the required federal return PDF hasn't been attached to the e-file. For partnership returns, West Virginia requires a PDF copy of the Federal return, and the checkbox and attachment must match.

Error message

Form SPF-100: Rule Number: SPF-100-003 Checkbox "Partnership" is checked, but IRS1065.pdf is not attached.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Edit
    Insert
    E-file Attachments
    .
  2. Add a PDF copy of the Federal return.
  3. Name the file exactly
    IRS1065.pdf
     (case sensitive).
  4. Confirm you haven't added an extra description in
    Organizer
    States
    West Virginia
    E-file
    Attachments
    PDF Attachments
    IRS1065.pdf
