9990 e-file error
You get this error when the DOL/EFAST2 conditionally accepts a return when it contains errors that need to be corrected.
Error message
Reject Code: 9990 Extended Reject Code: 0 Reject Message: This return has been "Conditionally Accepted". It is considered received by the DOL/EFAST2, however the error(s) must be corrected. The return must be re-submitted as an amended return.
Solution
Submit an amended return with the corrections for the errors listed in the conditional acceptance.
