Error: The field ‘ExchangeRateSchedule’ cannot be empty

You get this error when Form 5472 contains monetary transaction information but the Exchange Rate Schedule is incomplete.

Solution

  1. In
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    25% Foreign Owned Corporation
    (Name)
    Monetary Transactions
    Exchange Rate Schedule
    , enter an exchange rate description and ratio.
  2. Enter both a description and ratio (even when the ratio is 1.0).
  3. Recompute the parent and subsidiary returns, reconsolidate, and recreate the Federal e-file.
