Error: Field 'StateAbbreviationCd' is unexpected

This validation error occurs when the State field in the 25% Foreign-Owned Corporation address section is set to NONE SELECTED. This causes the e-file XML to generate in an incorrect order.

Solution

  1. Go to the Subsidiary Locator, then go to
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    25% Foreign Owned Corporation
    (NAME)
    Reporting Corporation Info
    .
  2. Make sure a valid US state is selected in the
    State
     field (not NONE SELECTED).
  3. Update the address fields as necessary.
  4. Make sure the ZIP Code matches the state.
  5. Do a full recompute.
  6. Reconsolidate the TopCon.
  7. Recreate the e-file.
